Here’s the first page of the blog. Or the website. I’m still not entirely sure what shape it’ll take.
The ambition is simple: to take a first step into making video games.
I’ve been fascinated by this medium since I was very young, ever since I discovered the NES, the Game Boy, and later the Game Gear.
I never really thought of it as something that could be a job. Somewhere in my head, it was magic. Something made by magicians.
After working in software and web development for almost twenty years, I started thinking that maybe I could try learning a little of that magic myself.
But is this really the right time to start making games? And, even more, to start a studio?
You’d probably say no, and you’d probably be right. The weather isn’t exactly great in the video game industry right now. Between the way the people making games are treated and the number of studios shutting down, it may not be the best possible time.
So let’s try to do things differently.
Let’s try to have a more responsible approach to making games, and to running a studio.
Let’s try to be more respectful.
Let’s simply try to make a little bit of magic again.
